Centre d'expertise en analyse environnementale du Québec

Laboratory Analyses

Laboratory analyses may be biological, toxicological, microbiological or chemical in nature. They are conducted in various compartments (water, air, soil, plant life, wildlife) on gaseous, liquid and solid wastes.

The work performed corresponds to regulatory requirements and to monitoring quality of the natural environment. The Centre d'expertise en analyse environnementale du Québec (CEAEQ) also lends its support in cases involving investigations and in emergency situations.

The CEAEQ offers a wide range of analytical services supported by recognized, standardized methods. Due to the evolution of environmental practices and the improvement in instrumental technologies, CEAEQ teams must adapt and develop new methods to properly meet increasingly sophisticated environmental monitoring and follow-up needs and specific client requests.

The CEAEQ has an accreditation of the Canadian council of the standards (CCN) for the realization of the laboratory analyses according to the international standard ISO/CIS 17025.

The CEAEQ's laboratories scopes of accreditation are available on the Internet site of the CCN at the following addresses:
